Kyla started dancing when she was 8 years old and has been ballroom dancing for a total of 15 years.
When Kyla was 9, she joined the Brigham Young University Youth Ballroom Formation program and competed on their highest performing team, winning several national formation team titles, until she graduated from high school.
At age 17, Kyla and her partner became the United States National Amateur Smooth Champions and she also received a scholarship to dance on the ballroom team at Brigham Young University.
She has traveled across the United States, performing and competing, as well as traveling to 5 different countries, including Blackpool, England where she competed individually as well as with the BYU Ballroom Tour Team at the prestigious Winter Gardens.
Kyla has competed in all 4 styles, Rhythm, Latin, Smooth, and Standard but her main focus now is Smooth and Standard.
Kyla and her partner now compete professionally and work on sharing their souls and inspiring others through the art of dance.
